Atlanta genealogist Larry W. Thomas is a professional genealogist with more than 30 years of research experience, serving clients in Georgia and beyond. He specializes in heirship, estate, courthouse, and complex family history research, providing documented, evidence-based conclusions for attorneys, fiduciaries, and private clients.
Larry began researching his own Thomas family more than 30 years ago, with Georgia lines reaching into the 1750s. He later expanded that work into client research and has operated AtlantaGenealogy.com since 2008. His work is grounded in careful analysis, documented evidence, and sound methodology, with a focus on presenting findings clearly, accurately, and in a form that can be confidently relied upon.
He is a graduate of ProGen 38 and a member of the National Genealogical Society, the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Genealogy Speakers Guild. He has served on the board of the Georgia Genealogical Society and is a past president of the Cobb County Genealogical Society.
